Oud Beersel

Oud Beersel č un birrificio artigianale lambico, con sede a Beersel e fondato nel 1882 da Henri Vandervelden. Suo figlio Louis, e poi suo nipote Henri, in seguito subentrarono. Nel 1991, č stata rilevata dal nipote di Henri, Danny Draps. Nel 2002, le attivitą di birrificazione sono state interrotte a causa di problemi finanziari. Nel 2005, spinto dall'interesse a rianimare l'artigianale Oud Beersel kriek e geuze, due giovani, Gert Christiaens e Roland De Bus, hanno riavviato il birrificio. Per finanziare il rilancio, il birrificio vende due birre chiamate Bersalis Tripel e Bersalis Kadet, che non sono birre a base di carne di maiale e sono prodotte da un altro birrificio (il birrificio Huyghe di Melle).
